Bridge Bank Senegal is recruiting a (01) Compliance Officer.
Reporting to the Head of the Risk Management and Control Department, the Compliance Officer supervises the overall control and prevention of non-compliance risk, including reputational risk, within his/her perimeter.
The Compliance Officer is responsible for monitoring compliance, including regulatory compliance (market integrity, staff ethics, respect for customer interests, KYC and LBCFT/FT- PADM) and reputational risk.
He ensures the adequacy and independence of the compliance system.
As such, the Compliance Officer will have to comply with the following characteristics:
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the consistency and effectiveness of compliance risk control;
- Ensure the collection, analysis and reporting of compliance malfunctions and the follow-up of associated action plans;
- Participate in the preparation of regulatory reports;
- Ensure that compliance aspects are taken into account in the control instructions and procedures of its scope;
- Ensure effective implementation of regulatory requirements (e.g. AML/FT and KYC) and coordination of the compliance control system;
- Ensure the existence and execution of second-level controls on compliance aspects;
- Participate in regulatory monitoring in cooperation with the Legal Department;
- Promote a culture of compliance within the bank through training and awareness-raising initiatives with relevant employees;
- Advise operational staff on all compliance-related issues;
- Give an opinion on the compliance and reputational risk aspects of new products and/or transactions that require it; in this capacity, he/she is a member of the New Products Committee;
- Ensures that operational staff comply with control obligations imposed by regulators, and that reporting obligations are properly fulfilled;
- Ensure the effective implementation of corrective action plans following control missions or investigations carried out by supervisory authorities.
Profile:
- BAC+4/5 Audit, Control. Risk, Compliance, Law, Business, Finance or ITB;
- Minimum 2/3 years’ experience in a similar position within a bank.
Knowledge and skills required:
- Knowledge of banking regulations;
- Knowledge of banking operations;
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.);
- Ability to analyze and summarize;
- Self-control and autonomy;
- Relational and communication skills;
Teamwork;
- Organization and thoroughness.
